Electric Vehicles Join the Hertz Fleet!

Hertz is developing a full network of electric vehicle locations and has begun laying down the infrastructure to make electric vehicles a viable option for its customers. Hundreds of Nissan Leafs will be introduced into the fleet, both domestically and internationally, before the end of 2010. Hertz plans to offer the Chevy Volt, Mitsubishi iMiev, the electric Smart Car, and Toyota Prius Plug-In as part of its electrical vehicle offering. In North America, Hertz will initially offer electric vehicles in major cities, including NY, DC and San Francisco as well as on college campuses for students and facility. In Europe, electrical vehicles will be available in major cities, including Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Geneva, and Zurich.
