Travel Impressions Follows San Juan #OnLocaTIon Campaign With August #WeekendLearning Series Highlighting #TheRealPuertoRico

Month-long series provides in-depth look at multi-faceted destination

FARMINGDALE, NY (July 25, 2018) — In its latest #WeekendLearning Series installment, Travel Impressions ( is arming travel agents with insights and selling tips on Puerto Rico that will help them more effectively convey the destination's diversity of attractions and allure to clients, now that recovery from Hurricane Maria is about 100% complete. Every weekend throughout the month of August, agents can follow the campaign via hashtags #TheRealPuertoRico and #WeekendLearning on Facebook.

The initiative will focus on unique areas of Puerto Rico and its appeal to different types of travelers, and reveal details that the team simply ran out of time to share while there. Agents will learn firsthand how the multi-faceted destination caters to modern families, travelers seeking cultural experiences and authenticity, foodies craving fine and real local cuisine, as well as trailblazers and adventurers searching for their next thrill.

Following the success of Travel Impressions' #OnLocaTIon project with the destination, the #WeekendLearning campaign imparts insider knowledge to help agents tailor Puerto Rico recommendations to prospective vacationers, showing off what travel to Puerto Rico is really like. Travel agents who follow the #WeekendLearning Series will receive a deeper perspective and comprehensive, critical lens at the state of tourism there, even debunking sensationalist reports on mainstream media to show #TheRealPuertoRico in a collaborative effort to help others #DiscoverPuertoRico—the destination tourist board's official hashtag.
