Travel Impressions Absorbs 1% Hawaii State Transient Accommodations Tax Increase
To help agents and their clients stay ahead in tough economic times, Travel Impressions absorbing the 1% tax increase that went into effect on July 1, 2009 on any existing and deposited Hawaii bookings (made prior to July 1, 2009).
"To help alleviate the stress of unforeseen costs associated with the 1% tax recently imposed by Hawaii on hotel reservations, Travel Impressions will honor prices on all bookings that were quoted by our travel agent partners and under deposit prior to July 1, 2009," said Steve Gorga president and chief executive officer of Travel Impressions. "We value our travel agents and their clients, therefore providing this tax relief is one of the many ways we are able to offer support to them," he added.
New Hawaii reservations will be subject to the 1% Hawaii-imposed tax, which began on July 1, 2009.
