Not your typical holiday in the Hub

While many of Boston's tourists quack at innocent pedestrians from duck boats or follow a Paul Revere-impersonating tour guide around downtown, there are many other alternative activities for those on a North American vacation whose interests lie outside the historical realm.
In recent years, the Hub has been home to multiple films. Sightseeing for movie buffs has never been so easy, as Boston Movie Tours Theater-on-Wheels takes visitors around the city to the exact locations where famous scenes were filmed.
The tour includes a stop at the L Street Tavern in South Boston, highlighted in Good Will Hunting, as well as sites of many other movies and television shows including Boston Legal, Gone Baby Gone and Mystic River.
Sports fans can head to Fenway Park for a guided tour, where they can sit on the Green Monster, see the view from the Press Box and visit the Red Sox Hall of Fame. The baseball stadium is the oldest in the country.
Boston visitors don't always have to go on tours to have a good time. Other things to do include a laser light show at the Museum of Science, walk through the North End to get a taste of Beantown's "Little Italy," or head to South Boston to roam the grounds of Castle Island.
