A one hour cruise from the Hotel Kia Ora down to the south coast of Rangiroa takes you to the Avearahi motu (islet). There, the Kia Ora Sauvage greets you in a miniature version of paradise. As soon as you land, the legend of Robinson Crusoe becomes true in a setting of five traditional bungalows nestled amidst the coconut and palm trees. Indeed, an atmosphere of luxury combined with authenticity awaits you at the Kia Ora Sauvage.  

A couple of hosts will take care of you. From them, you'll learn Tahitian cooking. They'll take you on a picnic, and will introduce you to the aquatic life in the lagoon and along the reef. You'll swim in small natural swimming pools among the coral, and will discover the nature in all its beauty. In this serene electricity-free environment, petrol lamps, torches and shining stars illuminate your relaxing stay.

2009 2 children 11 and under are free of charge, when sharing room with 2 paying adults. children under 2 yrs old.  

Maximum Occupancy:  

• Beach Bungalow - 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.  

Beach Bungalow(*) Bedding: 1 king bed and 1 twin bed.  

Please Note:  

• There is hot water in the bungalows. There is no electricity in the bungalows. Rooms are lit by sunlight only. At sunset, your hosts will leave two gas lanterns on the porch.

• Roundtrip boat transfer from Hotel Kia Ora to Kia Ora Sauvage is available. Departure from Hotel Kia Ora at 9:00am. Return from Kia Ora Sauvage at 11:00am.  

• Be careful when arranging flights. It may be necessary for guests to stay 1 night at the beginning and ending of their stay at the Hotel Kia Ora.  

• Private transfers to Kia Ora Sauvage are also available, if booked in advance.  

• Rangiroa City tax to be paid directly at the hotel.
