Package Inclusions:  

• Day 1:  

• Private transfer from Palermo airport to the 5* Grand Hotel Villa Igiea and check in.  

• Time to relax at the hotel.  

• Meals at leisure.  

• Overnight.  

• Day 2:  

• Exploring Palermo amid art and tradition: you will meet your private English-speaking guide to discover Palermo through the stories and the activities of the locals in a walking tour; you will visit the highlights of the city and you will have lunch in the world of street food. In the afternoon, you will go to Le Stanze al Genio, a rare example of a house museum of ceramics where the owners will welcome you with a typical Italian aperitivo.  

• Dinner at leisure.  

• Overnight  

• Day 3:  

• Meeting with your private English-speaking driver and your guide for a full-day excursion: the morning will starts sweetly with the transfer to Piana degli Albanesi: the birthplace of "cannolo". It is a small town in the hinterland of the island, 30 minutes far from the capital, which is located near a lake.  

• The tour will proceed towards Ficuzza Wood where, after a nice walk, you will reach the Royal Palace used by King Ferdinando IV as hunting house. Here, time seems to stand still.  

• Lunch in an old railway station, which is now a restaurant; the last stop of the day will be Corleone where you will visit the CIDMA (Mafia and Anti-Mafia Center Guided Visits) to listen to the voice of legality in Sicily and show that the Godfather was just a movie.  

• At the end return to your hotel in Palermo.  

• Dinner at leisure.  

• Overnight.  

• Day 4:  

• Meeting with your private English-speaking driver and your guide for a full-day excursion: you will visit to the jewel of the Arab-Norman crown in Sicily: the golden cathedral of Monreale; you will then move to the fishing village of Mondello, famous for its nice walk along the beach with the crystal-clear sea. You will have time at leisure for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, you will reach Monte Pellegrino: the holy mountain of Palermo and you will enter the cave where the peculiar sanctuary of the patroness of the town, Saint Rosalia, is located.  

• At the end return to your hotel in Palermo.  

• Dinner at leisure.  

• Overnight.  

• Day 5:  

• Meeting with your private English-speaking driver and your guide for a full-day excursion: after a few kilometers from Palermo, among verdant hills and river valleys you will reach Camporeale. You will start with a visit to a small, well-kept dairy farm, in the countryside, and you will have the opportunity to watch the preparation of cottage cheese and to taste the unique pecorino cheese or the primosale cheese. At the second stop, an olive oil press, you will hear the fascinating story of the olive trees and of olive oil production and then you will be able to try some of the olive oil on a fragrant slice of homemade bread. The last step of the tour, which involves all your senses, will lead you to land cultivated with grapes indigenous to this area. These grapes, were valued in ancient times but then not grown at all for years and years. Now they have been rediscovered and are being grown again. You will finally finish the tour tasting this typical wine in the wine tavern.  

• At the end return to your hotel in Palermo. Dinner at leisure.  

• Overnight.  

• Day 6:  

• Meeting with your private English-speaking driver for a full day excursion to the famous Salt pans where you will do a guided visit, you will visit the mill and at the end you will do a tasting of salt.  

• Your tour will continue to Marsala where you will visit one of the most famous cellars. The guided tour begins with the gigantic vats, eight unique examples built in the late 1800's and still used for ageing Marsala, that greet visitors at the entrance to the Cellars. You will reach then the actual Cellar, an evocative, magical place where about 5,500,000 liters of Marsala are preserved in the silent, tranquil stillness. After a fascinating approximately twenty-minute tour through the barrel cellars, where the ancient tufa stone floor has been restored, we come to the Tasting Room where you will also have a light lunch  

• Day 7:  

• Day at leisure.  

• Day 8:  

• After breakfast, private transfer to Palermo and check in.  

• End of services.
