The Hotel das Cataratas is an elegant two story Portuguese colonial style building in one of the most impressive and enviable locations in South America. The world famous Iguau Falls are just a two minute stroll from the property, and the hotel is surrounded by almost 15,000m of national park. First opened in 1958, Hotel das Cataratas comprises a main building which houses the reception area, a bar and restaurant with terrace and a reading room, as well as guest rooms. Two further wings were added in 1971 and 1982, and in total the hotel now offers 195 guest rooms including 13 suites. Hotel Das Cataratas is the only hotel built inside the Iguau National Park (on the Brazilian side) overlooking and right in front of the impressive waterfalls.

1/1/2012 Cataratas Deluxe Room, These spacious rooms are approximately 30 square meters in size and feature twin beds and Portuguese style decor with paintings by Brazilian artist Ludmilla de Montes.
These comfortable Deluxe Rooms are characterized by beautiful hardwood floors with large bathtubs, ideal for relaxing after a day walking through the National Park.

Junior Suite(*), Located in the main building five of our Junior Suites measure approximately 35 square meters and feature a king size bed and a Portuguese colonial style furniture and decoration. Several of the suites also have a private balcony and views over the gardens.
There is a Junior Suite in the Garden Wing (approximately 39 square meters in size) and three in the Forest Wing which measure approximately 44 square meters.
All Junior Suites feature Portuguese style decor including bathrooms with marble twin topped vanity units and a bath with a shower.
The main characteristics of this suite is a small living room with a writing desk and fantastic views of the lush tropical gardens and the forest.
Noble Suite(*) Bedding: 1 king bed or 2 twin beds.
1/1/2012 Cataratas Suite, Our Cataratas Suites are located in the main building and are approximately 94 square meters in size. The suites boast four balconies offering superb views of the spectacular surroundings.
Each suite features a living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms with marble topped twin vanity units and a bath with a shower.

Ipe Bar And Grill, Grill restaurant accommodation 250 passengers for buffet services and up to 500 passengers for cocktails, live music, and "gaucho" barbecue served with salad and dessert buffets. It also offers light meals, snacks, drinks, and aperitifs at poolside.
Restaurante Itaipu, Breakfast is served here. It accommodates 80 passengers and offers a menu of Brazilian and International specialties.
