This resort is located on a 52-acre hillside estate, which slopes down to its own secluded mile-long, exquisite white sand beach. Long Bay Beach Resort & Villas is one of the largest resorts on the island of Tortola, the main island in the British Virgin Islands. It is located towards the scenic west end of the island, about twelve miles from the airport and six miles from the main town, Road Town. The resort has developed gradually over 30 years and is acclaimed worldwide for its secluded and commanding beach location. The fact that Long Bay is set on 52 acres allows the resort to cater to a wide range of customers, offering privacy or activity as a matter of choice, Long Bay is suited to honeymooners, couples, families and singles seeking relaxation and soft adventure.

Hillside Oceanvw, Set on the hillside approximately 100 yards from the beach. These guestrooms are taste- fully decorated with designer fabrics, light tropical furnishings and have balconies or decks with views of the ocean.  

Hillside Oceanview Deluxe, Located on the hillside approximately 75 yards from the beach. These guestrooms offer a range of king size or twin beds. Some of the guestrooms are located around the Pelican Pool and Terrace, and here some connecting accommodations are available. The Hillside Oceanview Deluxe rooms have marble vanities and either a large covered deck, or balcony with ocean views.  

Beachfront Cabana, Located on the waters edge, these rustic accommodations are built on stilts between the palm trees, affording magnificent views and seclusion. Each Cabana has a king-size bed, ceiling fan, wet bar, marble vanities, VCR, large private deck and hammock.  

Deluxe Beachfront, These spacious deluxe accommodations sit just yards from the beach. Guestrooms are equipped with either a four-poster king or two queen-sized beds. Ocean views are provided from the large covered, 120 square foot terraces or balconies. The Beachfront Deluxe rooms also feature, ceiling fan, and large walk-in closet, separate shower area with marble vanity and dressing area. Some adjoining rooms are available, connected via the balcony.  

Two Bedroom Villa, Long Bay offers full-service two and three bedroom villas with large comfortable living rooms, with television (cable) and VCR and fully equipped kitchen area, large decks with outside seating and gas grills for barbecues. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and have both king-size beds and twin beds, plus there is a pullout couch in the lounge suitable for two adults.  

Three Bedroom Villa, Long Bay offers full-service two and three bedroom villas with large comfortable living rooms, with television (cable) and VCR and fully equipped kitchen area, large decks with outside seating and gas grills for barbecues. The bedrooms are air-conditioned and have both king-size beds and twin beds, plus there is a pullout couch in the lounge suitable for two adults.  

All accommodations include: coffee machine, ironing board, television (cable), air conditioning, safe, refrigerator, alarm clock radio, iron and hairdryer.

• All rooms are equipped with simply configured local ISP dial-up account from which guests can access the internet and their own email with a laptop (ISP charges apply).  

Telephone (direct Dial) The direct dial telephones are equipped with modem jacks and dial-in voice mail that may be accessed from any telephone on or off the resort.

Pelican Pool Bar, offers sandwiches, burgers and salads open from 11:30am-8:00pm.  

1748 Restaurant, 1748 is an alfresco restaurant located on the ground floor of a renovated 18th century sugar mill with beachfront decking. It offers a wide variety of grills, sea- food and local dishes. Breakfast from 7:30am-11:00am; lunch from 12:00pm-3:00pm (subject to change); Dinner 7:00pm-10:00pm on buffet nights.  

Pasta House(*), is located on the upper level of the 18th-century sugar mill. Open for dinner only, two sittings (6:30pm & 8:30pm).  

Cuisine: Italian.

Please Note:  

• Optional extras that are not included in the above are: photographs, video taping, steel band music, hairdresser, additional bottles of champagne, and amenities for off-property guests  

• The Hotel will guide couples on all legalities in advance, which in fact are very straight forward  

• Prior to the ceremony the couple will visit Tortola's registrars office and purchase $110.00 Stamps to declare residential status and pay a $100.00 license fee  

• The round-trip taxi fare needs to be paid locally; the hotel will arrange the transfers  

• Couples need to be resident on the island at least 3 business days before the ceremony takes place  

• It is advised that couples check with the BVI Tourist Office in advance on specific issues such as nationality.  

• All locations at Long Bay are offered subject to availability and may not be available certain times or days of the week.

Dress Code (for Restaurants)  

• At the Palm Terrace and Pasta House restaurants shoes must be worn and bathing suits covered. Men wear long pants or stylish jeans (no shorts, capris or 3/4 pants) and collared shirts with short or long sleeves (no t-shirts or tank tops). Women must wear dresses, skirts, long pants, or stylish jeans, culottes or in the Summer tailored Bermuda-length shorts (no "short shorts" or cut offs).  

• At the 1748 Restaurant dress shorts are allowed for dinner (no swimsuits, short shorts or cutoffs are allowed).  

Ferry Transfers  

• If guests arrive via St. Thomas, ferry service is available between downtown Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas and Road Town, Tortola. Getting to the next ferry is very easy, guests can take a taxi (approx. 5 minutes) at the St. Thomas Airport and let the driver know that they need to take the Road Town Fast Ferry to Tortola. They will arrive at the Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas ferry port and enjoy a mini cruise past St. John's (USVI), Jost Van Dyke, and Little Thatch Islands before arriving at the immigration station at Road Town, Tortola. Taxis are readily available from Road Town to the Long Bay Beach Resort.  

Please Note: (in reference to the Ferry Transfers)  

• Ferries only operate during daytime hours - so the last ferry is usually around 4:00pm. To ensure a smooth transfer make sure to arrange flights to arrive in time for the transfers.  

• There are many ferry service operators and two different ports. The transfer mentioned above is only valid from Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas ferry port using Road Town Fast Ferry service operator.  

General Information:  

• As of June 2008 the All Inclusive Plan has been discontinued at Long Bay Beach Resort and Villas.  

Free Ferry Transfers  

• For stays of 5 nights or more ferry service is included.  

• For stays less than 5 nights there is an additional cost roundtrip (per person)
