The Avila Beach Hotel is unique in its history, location, architecture, atmosphere and lush tropical surroundings. The heart of the hotel is a beautiful Dutch Colonial style mansion, built in the late 18th century as the country house for the Governor of Curacao and still standing in its tranquil elegance, promising a taste of old world ambiance mixed with contemporary comfort and amenities. During the past 6 years, two exciting wings, one on either side of the original buildings have been built. Stretching along 2 private beaches, which are divided by the Blues pier. The east wing, La Belle Alliance, was the first addition and keeps the style and architecture of Dutch Colonial times. The west wing, the Blues wing, is an all wooden 2 story structure. The hotel is within walking distance of Willemstad and directly on the seashore. This low rise hotel has 100 rooms and 10 suites. The hotel has handicap accessible rooms.

Entertainment Wednesday nights- Antillean Night with local food at the Belle Terrace Restaurant with live music by Trio Ekis and staff dressed in folkloric uniforms.  

Thursday- Happy Hour Blues, with live Blues & Jazz music from 7pm-10pm.  

Saturday- BBQ at the Belle Terrace Restaurant with live music (either Mariachi's or Steel band). Happy Hour Blues, with live Blues & Jazz music, and a la carte menu from 9pm to midnight.  

Beaches Two private beaches, which are connected by an elevated boardwalk leading to the Blues bar and restaurant.

There is a steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi where you can relax after your work-out or while you wait to be picked up by your therapist. Reservations are recommended.  

Work off any stress that may have accumulated during the days meeting or shopping. The Avila fitness club has high tech equipment by Technogym with the latest techniques, built-in televisions, personal chips to keep track of your personal record and many more. There is also a certified personal trainer who can help you with your program. Wave at the passing cruise ships and enjoy the fabulous oceanview from any of your workout stations.

Lba Deluxe, in the "La Belle Alliance" wing have either two full-size beds which can accommodate a maximum of two adults and two children (without kitchenette) or one king size bed or two twin beds which can accommodate a maximum of two adults (with kitchenette). View: Garden or Ocean.  

Blues Wing Deluxe, These deluxe rooms have either one king size bed or two full size beds and all "Blues" wing rooms have a kitchenette and a Jacuzzi tub. They also have an in-room safe and a coffee maker. In these rooms we can place a maximum of two adults and two children. View: Garden or Ocean.  

Suite(*), The suites have a living room/kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, a separate bedroom, a private bathroom with bath and an extra toilet. In the suites an extra bed can be accommodated (for a fee). A maximum of 3 adults can stay in a one bedroom suite. View: Garden or Ocean.  

Octagon Superior, The superior rooms are located in the Octagon wing and are equipped with shower, balcony with ocean view, air-conditioning, flat screen television, telephone, hairdryer, in room safe, minibar, high speed internet connection, coffee maker and clock radio. These rooms either have one king-size bed or 2 twin beds for maximum 2 adults. View: Garden or Ocean.  

Octagon Preferred(*), The 3 handicapped rooms which are deluxe rooms, are located in the Octagon Wing. They are equipped with bathroom, shower, large balcony, ocean view, air-conditioning, flat screen television, telephone, hairdryer, in room safe, high speed internet connection, coffee maker, clock radio, mini bar and kitchenette. These rooms have 2 twin beds for maximum 2 adults. View: Garden or Ocean.  

Octagon Deluxe, The deluxe rooms in the Octagon wing are luxuriously large and decorated in sophisticated neutrals with splashes of red. They are equipped with specious bathroom and bathtub, separate shower, large balcony with partial ocean view, air-conditioning, flat screen television, telephone, hair dryer, in room safe, high speed internet connection, coffee maker, clock radio, refrigerator and kitchenette. These rooms either have a king size or 2 queen size beds. A third person can be accommodated in this room. View: Garden or Ocean.

Pool Bar, open during the day. Guests will enjoy delicious cocktails and healthy snacks, after a relaxing swim in the hotel's newest food and beverage outlet. Open daily from 12:00pm-6:00pm except Mondays open 10:00am-9:00pm. Wednesday: Managers Cocktail Party 6:00pm-7:00pm.  

Schooner Bar, Famous for its popular happy hour on Fridays from 5:00pm-7:00pm (happy hour prices) and live music from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Great choice of snacks, salads and small dishes from 12:00pm-7:00pm. Bar snacks available form 7:00pm-10:30pm.  

Avila Cafe, Charming patio restaurant serving a wide variety. Breakfast Buffet from 7:00am-10:00am and on Sundays from 7:30am-10:30am.  

Belle Terrace, Romantic open-air dining terrace, over- looking the Caribbean Sea, shaded by a giant old Royal Poinciana ("Flamboyant") and rustling palm trees, this is the ultimate tropical experience, and thanks to the ever present trade winds there is always a refreshing breeze to keep you comfortably cool. The exquisite a la carte menu offers international and local cuisine, as well as a weekly 3 course special dinner menu. The midweek attraction Wednesday evenings is "Antillean Night", featuring local specialties and live guitar music by "Trio Ekes". On Saturday nights (starting at 7:30pm- 10:00pm) we prepare a scrumptious Grill Night for you with an expansive salad bar. Also, you will be treated to live steel-band or Mexican (Mariachis) music.

Blues, extraordinary cocktail bar and restaurant, one of the premier jazz spots in Curacao, located at the end of the pier, where the main attractions are the succulent lobster dishes, cool cocktails, and a spectacular view of the jazziest sunset in the Caribbean. Kitchen open for late night dining. Sunset happy hour is from 6:00pm-7:00pm with complimentary snacks on Thursdays and Saturdays and specialty drinks. Live jazz music on Thursdays (7:00pm-10:00pm) and on Saturdays (9:00pm to 11:00pm).
