The rooms are distributed in three-story villas, surrounded by coconut palms and exotic vegetation. All rooms are equipped with a terrace, full bathroom, hair dryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite television, telephone and mini-bar. There is one snack bar on the beach, one swim-up bar at the main pool, three pool bars, one beach bar, one lobby bar, a snack bar and a show lounge bar. The main restaurant is an international buffet, plus there are three a la carte dinner restaurants serving Italian, seafood and international specialties. The beach restaurant serves American food snacks 24 hours. Hotel amenities include one main swimming pool with a special area for children, another pool with Jacuzzi, a large sun terrace with sunshades and sun beds, mini -club for children ages 4-12, an amphitheater for entertainment, five tennis courts, diving center and fitness studio. Guests staying at the Club Golden section have ID bracelets in a different color, which gives them exclusive access to the facilities and services of Royal Golden Principe, as well as those of the Gran Bahia Principe Akumal. This are is part of Gran Bahia Principe Akumal (south side) but separated from the rest of the hotel and with exclusive, Royal Golden Principe signs/placards. 200 double rooms distributed in villas, located between 65 feet and 492 feet from the beach.
