Half Day Samba City including Maracanã

We will visit the brand new Samba City which presents the making-of Rio's Samba Parades, where workshops turn out a steady stream of elaborate floats and costumes. The Samba Schools of Rio de Janeiro offer behind-the-scenes glimpses of the world's greatest street pageant at the largest art and entertainment complex in Brazil. Built by the Mayor's Office in the Old Rio Docklands, Samba City sparkles all year long with Carnival thrills. After Samba City we will proceed to visit the Maracanã Stadium, largest in the world. Entrances are included. Samba City does not open on Tuesdays

HALF DAY SUGAR LOAF TOUR & BOTANICAL GARDENS

Morning departure from hotel to the one of the most beautiful and well-preserved green areas of Rio de Janeiro for an afternoon of exploring the ecological beauty of Rio. Around 6,500 species, some of them endangered, can be seen in the open and in display galleries. The Botanical Garden also hosts monuments of high artistic and historic value, as well as research center, unique in Brazil, which includes the most comprehensive, 32,000 volume library, specialized in Botanic. Upon arrival, a short briefing about the history of the Botanical Gardens and its diversity of the Brazilian and world flora, harmoniously distributed within its 54 hectares will be presented by a biologist at the historical Visitor's Center. Following the tour, a short drive until reaching the Urca District where you will take a thrilling cable-car ride to the top of spectacular Sugar Loaf Mountain - 1,200 feet of sheer rock at the bottle-neck entrance of Guanabara Bay. Ascent is made in two stages: first to the top of the Urca Hill and then to the Summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain, for a breathtaking 360 degree view of Rio, Guanabara Bay, the city of Niteroi and the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

RIO BY NIGHT WITH DINNER AND SHOW

Duration: Approx 5 hours
An unforgettable evening of great food and fun that includes an "all-you-can-eat" scrumptious meal of fine barbecued meats, pork, sausages, chicken and turkey, served in the unique "rodizio" style: the waiters circulate around the tables slicing the meats off individual skewers directly onto everyone's plate. Meanwhile other waiters are constantly replenishing accompanying dishes of rice, French fries, fried onion rings and fried bananas. A vast self-service buffet of fresh salads completes the menu. Great Brazilian beer and coffee are also generously served throughout the evening including a delicious dessert of tropical fruits and ice cream. Following dinner, drive to the Plataforma I nightclub to assist a show of Brazilian folklore songs and dances, acclaimed for it's elaborate and very beautiful costumes (and dancers).

SUGAR LOAF & BOTANICAL GARDEN

This tour begins with a city panoramic view through downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome, the Metropolitan Cathedral, in pyramid form, with internal diameter of 96 meters and height of 80 meters. Get to know the traditional Cinelândia square with the historical buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. By taking the Aterro do Flamengo, you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where one of the largest symbols of the city is located: the Sugar Loaf. This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill which is 215 meters high and from where one can have a beautiful view from the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niteroi Bridge and Corcovado Hill. After Sugar Loaf you will visit the Botanical Gardens, a garden that holds about 7,000 tropical species.

Recife By Night

Enjoy the beauty of Recife by night driving along AV. Boa Viagem's illuminated sidewalk and jogging track with its lively nightlife, refreshed by the gentle steady sea breeze. On the way to the center of the city, see the colorful neon reflections beneath the bridges across the Capibaribe and Beberibe rivers until reaching the theater where you will enjoy a typical folklore show. Dinner is not included.

Half Day Igarassu & Itamaraca

A half day tour to Igarassu, the first Latin American Village with a church constructed in 1535. Tour includes a visit to Itamaraca Island with its beautiful coconut trees, marvelous beaches of warm waters and the famous Orange Fort, a magnificent sample of Dutch XVII century construction.

Half Day City Tour - Recife & Olinda

A pleasant tour, starting at Boa Viagem beach, with its reefs, natural warm pools and graceful coconut groves. Then on to the old part of town with its eclectic architecture, historical churches and bridges dating from the turn of the century, high- lighting Recife's layout. From here on to Olinda, Cultural and Natural World Heritage, with its convents, monasteries and churches built with art and faith, narrow streets lined with colonial town houses which lead up to the city's highest point. Guided Walking Tour of the Brazilian Side of Falls

After check in at the hotel, your tour escort will set a convenient time for this tour which starts in front of the Hotel das Cataratas.  Descent on foot the walkways of the National Park while enjoying breathtaking views of the Iguassu Falls located on the border of Brazil and Argentina where the Iguassu River drops into a gigantic horseshoe canyon.  Continue to the panoramic elevator and lookout point for picture taking and to experience the roaring thunder and majestic exuberance of the falls.

Tour to Itaipu Dam

Situated on the Paraná River, Itaipu was built at the cost of USD$15 billion and is considered the largest hydroelectric installation in the world.  This bilateral project is the result of a treaty signed between Brazil and Paraguay in April 1973.  With the construction of the dam, a large reservoir, Lake Itaipu, was created with a surface area of 900 square miles containing 29 trillion liters of water and its shores touching on both Brazil and Paraguay.  Deeply concerned with the preservation of the environment, the Itaipu Binacional Company, since the beginning, conducted all necessary investigations for adoption of measures designed to protect the flora, fauna and archeological heritage of the region and has created the Ecomuseum, the first of Latin America.  The tour starts with a drive through the city of Foz do Iguassu continuing on to the Public Relations Center of the Dam located 35 km from Foz.  Assist a 30 minute video showing the different phases of the construction from the beginning to the present stage.  Visit to strategic points along the dam for photographs.

Half Day Panoramical City Tour (Lower City)

Duration: 4 hours
The lower city tour takes us to the quiet waters of the Itapagipe Peninsula where the first holiday residences were built.  Now a peaceful family district, life moves at a slower pace than the bustling upper city. Fishermen fish from dug out canoes, locals  collect shell fish at low tide, schooners are at anchor, all protected by the famous Bonfim church, one of the most important churches of pilgrimage in Brazil and deeply syncretised with the Candomblé. (visit). We continue to the Monserrat district with its panoramic view of the city and on to the Mercado Modelo, a thriving market for local artifacts. It's time to bargain!
Please note that the Church of Bonfim is closed on Mondays.

Pelourinho By Night with dinner at UAUA

Duration: 4 hours
The mammoth restoration of the historical Pelourinho district has resulted in a new lease of nightlife to this, the largest complex of colonial architecture in the America's. We have dinner in one of the many first class restaurants in the area – UAUA Restaurant. After dinner, stroll the busy streets where many of the bars offer live music. Busiest on Tuesdays and the weekends.

HALF DAY CITY TOUR

We will set a time to pick passengers up at the hotel and take them on a city tour. During the tour we will go sightseeing by the main tourist points in Fortaleza. Such as: Beira Mar avenue, Porto do Mucuripe, Bairro Aldeota, the Ex-Presidente Castelo Branco Mausoleum, Iracema beach, the Central Market, The fort Nossa Senhora da Assuncao, The Catherdral, Praca dos Martires, the Center of Tourism, the old Cadeia Publica - stop for shopping, Leste Oeste avenue, the cultural center Dragao do Mar, Monsenhor Tabosa Avenue and then return to the hotel at 3 o'clock.

FULL DAY MORRO BRANCO & FONTES BEACHES

We will set a time to pick passengers up at the hotel to take them first to Morro Branco Beach. This beautiful beach is located in the eastern seacoast of Ceara. It is about 85 kms away from Fortaleza. As soon as we arrive there, we will go for a 50 minute walk along the colorful sand sea cliffs (we will have the company of mini guides from the region). There will be a short period of time for bathing on the sea as well as on some small fresh water lakes in the area. Soon afterwards we'll go straight to Praia das Fontes. It is located only 5km away. We'll spend the rest of the journey in a typical restaurant of the place. The time to return to the hotel is set by the guide. Lunch at own accounts.

Beginning in the morning at the hotels in Ponta Negra, the tour proceeds along the Coastal Highway to the city beaches and Fortaleza dos Reis Magos, where there's a short stop to visit the fortress. After driving through the districts of Santos Reis, Rocas and Ribeira - where the town began, the city centre and cathedral, we visit the craft centre to browse and buy souvenirs. Morro do Careca ("Bald Hill") in Ponta Negra on the edge of Natal, is seen on the way to the beach of Pirangi, 24 km away, where we'll have time to visit the largest cashew tree in the world and bathe in the calm waters.

FULL DAY PRAIA DA PIPA

Duration: 8 hours

Leaving the hotels in the morning and following the BR 101 highway, after 90 km we reach the municipality of Tibau do Sul and one of the coast's most charming spots - the beach of Pipa. Considered to be one of Brazil's ten most beautiful beaches, there are cliffs where part of the Atlantic Rainforest is preserved, overlooking a chain of coves. We will visit the beach of Cacimbinhas and the village of Pipa and its stores, with a stop for bathing. The beaches of Amor and Baía dos Golfinhos ("Dolphin Bay") can be reached by walking along the seafront, tide permitting.

Morning City Tour

Duration: 3 hours
A sightseeing trip through the city visiting the most interesting monuments and historical places such as the Museum of Natural History, the Indian Museum as well as passing in front of the Rio Negro Palace.  Continue on through the old city and to the Customs House, the Cathedral and Opera House, built at the end of the 19th century during the Manaus Rubber Boom era.  Note:  Opera House is closed on Mondays and the Indian Museum is closed on Sundays and holidays.
