Fun Fact: In 1871, a Reno tailor named Jacob Davis came up with the idea of reinforcing his canvas pants with copper rivets when the local miners and railroad workers required stronger clothing. Soon, he and his canvas supplier Levi Strauss patented this technique to create what would become Levi's jeans.
