 On the Pacific Coast of Mexico, southeast of Acapulco, Huatulco is a 22-mile stretch of coastline with nine magnificent bays and 36 beaches. Great for fishing, Huatulco also offers true peace and tranquility on its miles of secluded beaches, tucked away and waiting to be discovered. Fun Fact: The name Huatulco comes from the Náhuatl word cuaúhtolco, meaning "the place where the wood is adored." Legend has it that the great civilized god Quetzalcóatl left the people of Huatulco a wooden cross as a gift. |
