Taxco is a small colonial city nestled on a mountainside. Its cobblestones
streets, centenary fountains, and red-tiled roof houses make it
one of the most picturesque places in Mexico. Its flourishing silver
industry
has given Taxco its reputation as the Silver Capital of the world.
Taxco has been declared a colonial monument where you can still
enjoy
the atmosphere of the 18th Century. The tour includes a visit to
the Santa Prisca Cathedral, a baroque masterpiece.

During this pleasant drive you will admire Acapulco, known as "one
of the most beautiful bays in the world". We will follow
the scenic highway until we get to the Acapulco Princess and
Mayan Palace hotels. These are two of some of the most spectacular
resorts
in Acapulco. The architecture of the two hotels is worth the
visit. One of them is shaped like an Aztec pyramid and the other
like
a Mayan complex. On our way back to downtown Acapulco, we will
drive by the residential development "Las Brisas" with
a visit to the Peace Chapel on top of a hill overlooking the
bay. Its enormous cross may be seen almost from any spot in the
bay.
Then you will visit the International Convention Center, where
the most important events
are held. We will reach "La Quebrada" to watch the
divers' show. They climb up dangerous cliffs to dive into the
foamy waters below. Our last stop will be at an arts and crafts
center,
from where we will drive you back to your hotel.
