Leaving Rome along the Autostrada del Sole as far as Orte, we reach Spoleto. Proceed to Orvieto, famous for its beautiful Chathedral (visit). Proceed to the Clitumno Springs, Trevi, Foligno, Spello and arrival at Assisi. Visit the Church of Santa Chiara where St. Francis was born. Walking through the narrow streets we reach Piazza del Comune with the Palazzo die Priori, the Palazzo del Popolo and the Temple of Minerva. Continue to the Basilica of St. Francis with the masterpieces of Giotto and Cimabue. After lunch in a local restaurant, free time. Continue by bus to the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, place where St. Francis lived and died, with visit to the Porziuncola Chapel. Proceed to Rome with arrival at the hotels or nearest point at about 7:00pm.

Florence Tour Duration: full day

Leaving Rome the coach goes North through three of the most beautiful Italian regions: Latium, Umbria and Tuscany. Arrive in Florence at about 11:30am and go to Piazzale Michelangelo, to admire a fantastic view on the city and on the famous Ponte Vecchio. Continue to the historical center and free time at leisure. After lunch at a local restaurant, guided visit on foot: Santa Croce Square with the homonimous Church, where Michelangelo and Galileo are buried. Stop at a leather factory and visit the Museum of Accademia, with the famous Statue of David by Michelangelo. The walk continues to Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (visit) the beautiful Dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistry and Giotto's Belltower. At 5:00pm approximately departure to Rome with arrival at about 9:00m. Return to hotels or nearest point.

Naples, Capri, and Anacapri Tour Duration: full day

We leave Rome southwards along the Autostrada del Sole. Arrival in Naples and embark to the Island of Capri, the most famous in the Mediterranean. Upon arrival, weather permitting, visit the Blue Grotto, a miracle of equilibrium among water, light and reflections of wonderful seafloors. This incredible corner of nature attracts a high number of tourists who, during the whole life, will preserve the image of a place rightly considered as unforgettable. Return to Marina Grande and proceed by minibuses to Anacapri, for lunch at a restaurant. Free time for shopping and then ack to Marina Grande to embark the boat to Naples. Naples and Pompeii Tour Duration: full day

Leave Rome along the Autostrada del Sole southwards. Halfway to Naples, the Abbey of Montecassino, completely rebuilt after the total destruction in the Second World War, can be seen high up on the hill to our left. Then on into the fertile countryside surrounding Naples. After a short sightseeing, on the way to Pompeii stop for a visit to an ancient cameos and coral factory in Torre del Greco. Then on to Pompeii for lunch at a restaurant and visit of the excavations. 19 centuries ago during the summer of 79 A.C., Vesuvius suddenly re-erupted completely destroying Pompeii and Herculaneum. Its ashes, gases and hot clouds claimed numerous lives but at the same time preserved the existing environment and a way of life typical of the ancient Roman society at its height. The layer of ashes preserved intact people and everyday items, food and domestic animals, all remained steady and hidden until the first half of 18th Century when regular digs were organized. At the end of the visit continue to Rome with arrival at the hotels or nearest point at about 8:30pm.

Rome Half Day Tours

Crossing the Quirinal Square, with the Presidential Palace, we arrive at Piazza Venezia towered by the imposing "Vittoriano." After Via Veneto, famous for Fellini's movie "La Dolce Vita", and Piazza della Repubblica with the Naja-di's Fountain our promenade through the historical center starts with the famous Trevi Fountain till Piazza Navona (stop), always quite lively and picturesque, with the Four Rivers Fountain, Bernini's masterpiece. Along the way we will admire Piazza Colonna with the Column of Marcu Aurelius and the Pantheon, built in the 1st Century B.C. with the widest dome in the world (visit.).
