Chateau Country CL1 Duration: full day - 13 hours
During the Renaissance period, the Loire valley was the favourite place of the Kings of France and their courtiers who left behind many castles of amazing architectural elegance. Art and history combine with a certain sweetness of life in this part of the country known as “the Garden of France”.
Winter programme: from Paris we proceed to Chambord. Guided visit to the most imposing castle of the Loire Valley famous for its staircase then Cheverny. Guided visit followed by lunch at the Hotel Saint Hubert. The afternoon is dedicated to Chenonceau Castle, nicknamed “of the Six Ladies” because among the numerous owners, 6 ladies inhabited and decorated the castle.Summer programme : Tour includes guided visits of Blois, Chenonceau and Chambord. In October the Sautrday visit to Chambord is replaced by the Cheverny Castle. Please note: Lunch included only between 1 Nov 2004 – 18 Mar 2005. Mont Saint Michel MS1 Duration: full day - 15 hours
Mont St Michel is a rocky island located in the largest bay in Europe. Its abbey is known as “The Marvel of the Western World” and it is still one of the most famous pilgrimage centres dating from the Middle Ages. The Mont St Michel is one of France’s most well known (and photographed) landmarks and enjoys a wonderful setting in the heart of the Normandy region, rich in history and well known for its characteristic architecture, rich farmland, gastronomic specialities and cheese.
From Paris the tour proceeds along a scenic route as far as the town of L’Aigle. Stop at 9:30 am at the restaurant “Le Dauphin” to enjoy a typically French brunch (Summer only). At around 10:30 am we leave for Mont St Michel when we arrive around 1 pm. During the winter months we lunch on arrival at the Relais St Michel restaurant. We begin our afternoon by ascending the monument (by the ramparts or by the village) as far as the abbey, located on top of the mount. Our guided visit covers the interior of the abbey. Clients are then invited to discover the village on their own. At 4:30 pm we leave for Caen for a buffet dinner including local specialities at the restaurant of the Caen Memorial (Peace Museum).

Normandy Landing Beaches NP Duration: full day including lunch
This tour is dedicated to the memory of the landing of the allies and the Normandy battle in 1944 (Operation Overlord). It will be with strong feelings that you will visit some of the areas where the Allies fought to recover freedom. First, we make a stop at the Caen memorial museum (known as the Peace Museum) for a commented visit and film followed by lunch (included). After lunch we depart for the landing beaches with a stop at the Ponte du Hoc and the American cemetery Saint-Laurent at Omaha Beach. We continue with a visit of a German battery of artillery and make a stop at Arromanches. Our visit to the landing beaches include Gold, Juno and Sword (where the Canadians, French and British landed)

Reims and Champagne RC Duration: full day
Reims is the capital city of the Champagne region and the city of coronations where most of the French Kings were crowned. Although the town suffered much destruction during World Wars I and II, the Gothic cathedral and the Saint-Remi basilica where the coronation ceremonies took place have been preserved. Today, Reims is a charming provincial town famous for its Champagne cellars, production and hillsides dotted with vineyards.

Versailles Appartments VA Duration: 3.5 hours
Versailles represents a reminder of the grandeur of classical French architecture. The lavish decoration and layout of the entire site reflect the will of King Louis XIV, known as the "Sun King". In the beautifully decorated State Apartments (Hall of Mirrors, Queen's Apartments & Reception Halls) our guide will enthral you on the life of the Kings. The extravaganza of the Palace gardens (designed by André Le Nôtre) and the fountains are other souvenirs of this rich period in French history.
We leave Paris by the western districts of the city and follow the Normandy motorway as far as Versailles (Travel time on average 40 minutes). Our tour continues with a guided visit of the King and Queen's State apartments within the palace. Free time after the guided tour for exploring the palace gardens.

Fountainebleau Duration: 5 hours
The Fontainebleau palace, lavishly built and furnished in Renaissance period style was used as a hunting residence by the French Kings. Situated in the heart of one of France's most beautiful forests, Fontainebleau was the favourite residence of the French Kings and emperors from François I to Napoléon III. Napoléon Bonaparte named Fontainebleau "La demeure des siècles" (the residence of centuries) in reference to the large variety of architectural and decoration styles in the palace. This tour also includes a brief stop at the Barbizon village located just outside Fontainebleau and a popular meeting point for painters and writers in the XIX century. Ideal opportunity for exploring the Ile de France region in greater details in terms of countryside, forests, provincial villages (eg.Barbizon) and castles used as Royal hunting residences.
We cross the southern districts of Paris as far as the Porte d'Orléans and cross the Ile de France to take the Autoroute du Soleil (motorway of the sun) as far as Fontainebleau. Our tour begins with a guided visit of the castle (Napoleon's apartments were recently restored and are included in our visit). Barbizon has been known as an artistic centre since the 19th century when J-F Millet and R-L Stevenson lived there. On leaving Fontainebleau we cross a small section of the famous Fontainebleau forest before making a short stop at Barbizon still occupied by artists workshops and antique shops of yesteryear.

Cruise and Illuminations Duration: 2 hours
One of the most original ways of viewing Paris is from the River Seine. From the comfort of our evening cruise visitors will be able to enjoy alternative views of the main monuments and see parts of Paris otherwise unnoticed from street level. After our cruise we continue the evening with an “illuminations” tour of Paris. | Paris Seinorama PS Duration: 4 hours
A strong characteristic of the French people is the respect they have for their history and the restoration of their national monuments. The result of this preservation of the past has greatly contributed to the beauty of Paris today, with its unique perspectives, geometric squares, sculptures and monuments. This tour concentrates on showing Paris to the visitor from two different angles: Above and below. From the Eiffel Tower we enjoy panoramic 360° views of the capital from on high. From the River Seine cruise, visitors will be captivated by an original viewing angle of the monuments and bridges from below.
We leave the Cityrama office via the Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysées as far as the Arc de Triomphe. We then drive towards the 16th district, known as one of the most prestigious and residential areas in Paris and home to the celebrated Bois de Boulogne, created by Napoléon III at the end of the 19th century. We make our first stop at the quai de la Bourdonnais and board our Bateaux Parisiens boat for a commented cruise along the River Seine. (Duration: 1 hour). On leaving the cruise we catch the famous Eiffel Tower lift as far as the 2nd floor. From this point our guide will point out the principal landmarks. Chartres CH Duration: 5 hours
Recognized as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, the Chartres Cathedral is still considered today as an important centre for Christian pilgrims. Famous for its stained-glass windows and wonderful colours dating back to the 12 th and 13th centuries known as the "bleu de Chartres" - (the blue of Chartres), this tour offers a deeper insight into this historical shrine.
We cross Paris by the southern districts where we join the motorway. Our route leads us by the Beauce region where the long stretches of wheat fields give this part of the country the reference : "le grenier à blé de la France" - France's bread basket. We arrive at Chartres around 3:15. Our Cityrama guide conducts a full guided visit of the Cathedral followed by free time for clients to explore and enjoy Chartres on their own.

Montmartre and Louvre ML Duration: 4.5 hours
A village is to be found on the top of the hill of Montmartre crowned by the white Sacred Heart Basilica so familiar to Parisians. Towards the end of the 19th century, numerous artists (Van Gogh, Renoir, Picasso, etc.) settled here with their families to enjoy the simple and peaceful country life. The Louvre museum is one of the richest in the world. It is impossible to visit it all in a short time, but a guided visit will show you the highlights.
Ride up to Montmartre by coach and funicular, guided walking tour of the village and Place du Tertre. Visit on your own the Sacred Heart basilica. At the Louvre museum, during more than one hour guided visit; you will see the Venus of Milo, the Winged Victory and Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. *Monday : the visit of the Louvre will be held before the one of Montmartre

| Giverny Duration: 4.5 hours
Claude Monet, like many impressionist painters, was attracted by the beautiful, peaceful and colourful countryside of Giverny and settled here in 1883.The artist was greatly inspired by the flower gardens surrounding his Giverny home and created the now famous Japanese bridge and water garden which later became the main focus for his work. Our tour includes a full visit of Monet's home, studio and gardens with the opportunity for visitors to appreciate this artistic shrine with legendary play of light and colour contrasts.
We leave Paris by the western districts of the city and follow the Normandy motorway as far as Bonnières. After crossing the River Seine at Vernon we reach Giverny which is located at around 1h15 from Paris. Our guide gives an enlightening visit of the gardens before leaving clients to visit Monet's home and studio on their own accord. Adequate free time is included to enable clients to continue as far as the American museum in Giverny village (entrance fees not included).

Cruise and Moulin Rouge CRM Duration: half day
A relaxing and captivating cruise along the River Seine with an original viewing angle of the floodlit monuments and bridges. At the Moulin Rouge the new revue offers dazzling cabaret in the tradition immortalised by Toulouse-Lautrec: sumptuous costumes and decoration with imaginative choreography and a high standard of dancing and singing.
Crossing Place de La Concorde as far as the banks of the Seine and embark with Bateaux Parisiens at the Quai de la Bourdonnais. At the end of the cruise we rejoin the Cityrama coach for transfer to the Moulin Rouge cabaret at the foot of the Montmartre hill. We assist to the second show which begins at around 11 pm. At the end of the evening clients will be accompanied to close proximity of their hotels in Paris.

Dinner Cruise (Etoile)
Depart from the Eiffel Tower, cruise along the left bank until the Ministry of Finance at Bercy; return to the Eiffel Tower via the right bank with a turn around the Statue of Liberty. Throughout the cruise musicians, a violinist and a singer interpret the greatest songs from a French and International repertoire. An Ave Maria in front of Notre-Dame, la Vie en Rose under the bridges of Paris…the evening becomes unique. Our menu combines tradition and fantasy. The dishes are prepared on board by our Chef Yves Gras and his team. Chef Gras is a member of the Académie Culinaire de France. Proper attire required.
