In 1872 when city walls in Vienna were replaced by the grand Ringstrasse, the Palais Leitenberger and the Palais Henckel von Donnersmarck were built as detached family residences. Carefully restored so as not to lose any of their original splendor, these two palaces come together today as the Radisson SAS Palais Hotel. This hotel is situated within the Ringstrasse in the heart of Vienna, close to famous attractions like St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Imperial Palace and one of the major shopping streets, the Karntner Strasse.
