WALKING TOUR OF TEL AVIV

Walking Tour: The International Style (Bauhaus) and Neve Tzedek Tel Aviv houses the largest number of buildings designed in an architectural style that developed in pre-Nazi Germany, a style that came to an abrupt end in Germany, with the Nazi's rise to power. This style is known as the International Style (is ofter referred to as Bauhaus).

In July 2003, the architecture of Tel Aviv, (White City) was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

UNESCO now recognizes 754 sites as World Heritage Sites. The organization protects natural and cultural properties of outstanding universal value against the threat of damage in a rapidly developing world.

Tel Aviv, which houses over 4,000 buildings (build between 1931-1956) in the International Style, houses the largest collection of buildings built in this style, in the world.

Neve Zedek: Tour the first neighborhood built outside of Jaffa's walls. The city of Tel Aviv evolved from Neve Zedek, which in Hebrew means Oasis of Justice.
