Coffee and Flower RouteCoffee is a very important component of our country's history and economics. We will visit a coffee plantation and learn the entire process of production. This plantation is located in the Flower Route, an area composed of several charming towns: Nahuizalco, Juayua, Apaneca and Ataco.
History TourEl Salvador has a "Pompey of the Americas" Joya de Ceren. It is a World Heritage site that loved 1400 years ago. A big eruption covered the whole town with six meters of ash. The lava and ashes sealed completely all the buildings, making it impossible to dig through. The site is very important since it tells us how the Salvadorian families lived, harvested, made utensils, distributed their homes, etc. We will also visit Tazumal and Casablanca archaeological sites as well as experimenting with a colorant technique that was used by our ancestors: Indigo.
Town ToursCrafts and historic towns is the attraction of this tour. We will visit two of the following three towns: Suchitoto, Ilobasco and La Palma. Suchitoto is a colonial town with its stone roads and old houses and balconies. We will visit Santa Lucia Church and a history museum. In Ilobasco, we will experience the elaboration of a very typical craft and in La Palma the nature of the mountains.
Volcanoes TourWe will visit a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Three amazing volcanoes embrace a beautiful lake which also fills a crater of another volcano. In Cerro Verde, we will walk around its extinct crater, providing breath- taking views of the Cone-shaped Izalco Volcano, Lamatepec Volcano and Coatepeque Lake.
