Before we get ready to roll, we give you a demonstration and a chance to ride in the practice ring ensuring that you are ready to hit the rugged terrain. Ride through some 3000 acres of the Montpelier property. Your journey will take you past historic ruins and amazing vistas as you bob and weave through a working citrus plantation. Then you proceed to 650 ft above sea level where a panoramic view of the entire Montpelier Valley awaits you. See for yourself why Jamaica is the most beautiful island in the Caribbean.

Your journey continues along the seven mile Great River. This is where you can cool off and take a dip or a swim in a refreshing Jamaican river.

ATV Safari

Duration: 4 hours

The only way to see Jamaica’s natural beauty, experience her culture, her history and diversity, is to take the Chukka 4x4 Safari. We will take you through Jamaica’s rugged interior in a Safari-Themed 4X4 Land Rover. We will show you the real Jamaica with many a pit-stop to highlight Jamaica’s local culture including a stop at a former slave hospital converted into a church in 1846. Navigate Jamaica’s rocky terrain with your own personal guide/driver/bartender who will keep you intrigued with many stories and anecdotes about Jamaican life.

To top it all off we will take you on a once in a lifetime river walk through the tropical foliage, you will discover hidden waterfalls, slow flowing natural swimming pools; hear the birds, feel the natural mineral waters, smell the rainforest. This is the real Jamaica.

Bamboo River Rafting

Duration: 1.5 hours

Bamboo River Rafting runs rafting trips that are suitable for all ages. Sit back and enjoy the river's exotic beauty as a guide poles your two-seat, 30-foot bamboo raft along the gentle River. Rafts such as this originally transported produce down the river to the merchant ships in the harbor. As you glide downstream, you'll see giant mango, breadfruit, and calabash trees, listen to the songs of the topical birds, and learn more about the this cascading River.

This very famous river takes its name from an Arawak Indian woman. According to legend, Spaniards looking for gold forced her to show them where a local gold mine was located. Rather than reveal its whereabouts, she used magic to change the course of the river-drowning herself and the Spaniards. Her ghost is said to still protect the entrance to the gold mine.

The three-mile river sojourn takes about 90 minutes.

Beach Horseback Ride

Duration: 5.5 hours

Calling all cowgirls and cowboys!

If you're looking for a western-style adventure in a tropical oasis, give the beach ride a try! This horseback riding adventure takes you along the shoreline and then into the ocean – and you will get wet! Before venturing into the water, guides remove the saddle from your horse, allowing you to ride bareback. Hang on as your trusty steed takes you into the ocean and goes for a swim! While in the ocean, you'll be able to dismount and do a little swimming of your own. Then, hop back on and return to the beach, where guides will re-saddle your horse. This is truly an experience like no other!

Black River Safari Tour

Duration: 9 hours

Let us show you some of Jamaica's most outstanding natural beauty when you join us on the exciting black river safari tour.

Your air-conditioned bus takes you along the beautiful and largely undeveloped south coast past quaint fishing villages and small towns. En route, your knowledgeable tour guide will highlight all the points of interest.

On arrival at black river, board your boat for an exciting nature expedition along jamaica's longest river. See jamaican crocodiles in their last remaining habitat, an abundance of Jamaican bird's and native fishermen in their dug out canoes fishing for river shrimp.

Canopy Tour

Duration: 3 hours

This Unique Tour consists of a series of decks and platforms mounted in the trees of the forest. Your Canopy Tour Guide will assist you in using the high-angle equipment and techniques to move from platform to platform. This is the first Original Canopy tour operation in Jamaica and is built using a new patent pending safety traverse system designed by Darren Hreniuk, Inventor of the concept originally developed in Costa Rica in the early 1990's.

The tour begins with a short walk to a crossing of the Great River that separates the Parishes of St. James and Hanover. This is just the start of numerous parish border crossings. The foundation on which this crossing is built is a ruin that dates back from colonial times. This suspension bridge is a single-track rope bridge similar to the bridge that was used in the movie “Romancing the Stone”. After the bridge crossing participants will take a brisk 7-minute walk up to the Briefing Area and Diving Board where the traversing adventure begins. Here at the edge of the cliff overlooking the rainforest, guests receive a safety talk and demonstration of the techniques used throughout the adventure. You are then attached to the first traverse and depart under the roots of an immense strangler fig tree for a 300-foot flight across the lagoon.

Your tour continues with eight additional traverses coupled with intermittent nature walks. Each traverse and platform is unique with colorful names such as “Limestone Cliff”, “Threesome Stop” and the highlight of our Tour, the “Inter-parish Express” (over one thousand feet long!). Guests will be given a variety of experiences highlighting the diversity of Jamaica's landscape and history. Hear and see the rushing waters below as they traverse up to 35 miles an hour across springs, the Great River and a 150 year old Dam. This amazing experience of gliding silently through a tunnel of trees is the closest guests will ever feel like to be a jungle bird.

Anything you take must be carried by you throughout the entire tour in a way that leaves both hands free.

Dunn's River Falls & Shopping Tour

Duration: 9 hours

Enjoy a leisurely ride along the scenic north coast to Ocho Rios while passing through the historical town of Falmouth with its Georgian style houses, and Columbus park where Christopher Columbus first landed(On the way from negril and montego bay only).

Spend the morning rummaging through the town's many shopping arcades and craft markets before enjoying a sumptuous Jamaica lunch. Then it's on to the legendary Dunn's river falls.

This sparkling waterfalls cascades 600 feet down tiers of smooth staircase which takes you down to the beach which has full facilities.

We invite you to climb the falls with the aid of a local guide and take photos against this majestic back-drop.

Flight of the White Witch Zipline Canopy Tour

Duration: 2 hours

Come back to nature and experience it as it should be. In the rolling hills that surround the once thriving historic Rose Hall Estate, lays yet another intriguing Chukka adventure. The Flight of the White Witch Zipline Canopy tour offers traverses that's "criss cross" through a densely forested canyon from 1,200ft. above sea level to "Annie's Web", a mesmerizing suspended platform that overlooks the forest floor and out to the distant Caribbean coastline.

After your safety briefing your certified high angle guides connect you to the first traverse which marks the beginning of your forest flight. As you zip through the upper foliage, your guides will highlight the unique flora and fauna while entertaining you with the true story of the infamous White Witch of Rose Hall who ruled the estate (and her many suitors) with an iron hand in the 19th century.

From our 100ft. rappel from Annie's Web to our 169m flight over the forest floor, this tour offers the perfect balance of mystery and excitement that the estate fiery mistress is famous for.

Jeep Safari Tour

Duration: 6 hours

A safari themed English land rover four wheel drive jeep to head west out of Montego Bay. The tour is designed to highlight a great deal of Jamaica's beauty, culture and history which usually remains unseen due to lack of accessibility by virtue of the terrain: there is interesting commentary along the tour by our experienced and well-informed drivers.

The tour takes guests into the interior of Jamaica cutting through the mountains via a mixture of rural roadways, farm access roads, and a time track made only by the very jeeps of the tour. The stops include two 1700s estates where guests begin to see why the land rover is still the preferred mode of transport in the African safaris. On these estates guest will see the 1700s ruins of the sugar factory and great houses where the owners of these grand property's lived. The jeep stop by the great river engulfed in a jungle type setting with an array of trees and plants that have remained untouched for years. At the river guests get a chance to dip their feet in the great river or jump in. After getting back in the jeep, the guests experienced the thrill of examining the water level to see if it is safe to drive over a 1700 fording to access the other side of the property. See the view that the old plantation owners had of the vast property from their verandas.

There is a stop in a community where you will see where the people still get water by a catchment and retention method available before pumps and pipes were in place. This is where we go to a cave where guests can see why caves were an ideal hideout for runaway slaves. You get out of the jeeps and walk to the mouth of the cave and the more adventurous can enter for a closer look.

The tour goes to blue hole estate where you stop at the edge of the unspoiled mangrove forest at a cove where guests can have a quick dip in the ocean and then shower, use the bathrooms or just relax. Then it's time for the ride back to your hotel.

Jungle River Tubing

Duration: 5 hours

Enjoy a scenic bus ride into the mountains, which is located 50 minutes out of Montego Bay.

Upon arriving at the site on the property, the tubers will be given the brief orientation. Tubers walk down through a jungle type setting for the start. The adventure begins with guests getting into their tubes in the river. The tour doesn't require much more than to be able to paddle at times when the river slows down or to paddle to sides of the river that the guides instruct. The rapids are gentle but at points speed up just enough to increase the excitement. Our attentive tour guides area available to show guests how to paddle and where to go. There is interesting commentary along the river highlighting a great deal of the rivers beauty which is hidden except to the river. See the streams entering the river, the amazing plant life and sometimes birds.

There are drinks available in the river bar a tube that seems to follow you as you head down. The tour is an experience of parts of Jamaica that have no civilization a picturesque unspoiled tour. Spirit of Reggae

Duration: 8 hours

Travel through the hills and curves of the parish of St. Ann; called the garden parish, until you reach Nine Mile. This little village is tucked away in the beautiful mountains of St. Ann, Jamaica.

Nine Mile is the birth place (Feb.6,1945) of the legendary “King of Reggae”, Bob Marley. It is also the place he was laid to rest.

The tour starts with a walk through his home as a young boy; which is now a museum and photo gallery. Your guide will reveal little known insights into Bob Marley's childhood and musical career. You will even have a chance to stand on “Mt. Zion Rock” (Bob's meditation spot) and rest your head on the “pillow” (made famous in the song “Talking Blues” ). Ultimate Kayak Adventure

Duration: 2.5 hours

Enjoy a scenic bus ride in air conditioned comfort to our secluded Chukka Jungle Outpost where your adventure will begin. After receiving a safety briefing from one of your guides, you make your way to the river bank where your Kayaks await you, inviting you to ride the currents of your 2 mile course down The Great River. You will become comfortable with your Kayak under the watchful eye of your life guard trained guides, then forge your way through the first few rapids to where the second stage of your adventure begins.

Adrenalin still racing, you disembark on a bamboo lined riverbank to begin your short hike to a hidden platform which is your launching pad to the first of three traverses that take you flying over150 ft through the forest canopy, and over the same river whose remaining rapids you still must conquer. Again, after receiving a safety briefing from your guides, enjoy the serenity yet excitement of this flight as they connect you on an intricate system of cables which lead you back to the river bank where you rejoin your kayak to continue your adventure.

After instruction from extensively trained guides, you take a short nature walk to your 1st platform nestled on the hillside overlooking the treetops and jungle “canopy”. You begin your tour by soaring through the trees using an intricate system of harnesses, pulleys and carabiners on horizontal traverses, while gazing at the surrounding jungle until you arrive at the next Cliffside platform, 45 feet above the ground.
