ROMANA CHAVONDuration: half day

A half day all included tour for those who don't want to spend the entire day away from their hotel and yet want to experience the largest city of the 10th largest province in the Dominican Republic. You will see its people, culture, visit a cigar factory and shop for excellent rum and coffee at local stores. Your tour also includes a visit to the famed Altos de Chavon artist village. Morning and afternoon departures are available for your convenience. Travel in our comfortable air conditioned buses with experienced drivers and bilingual guides. Visit a local market where you can purchase the excellent Dominican rum, coffee, cocoa and cigars at great prices. Visit the La Romana Catholic Church in the center of town and City Park. Visit the Romana Cigar Factory where you can purchase at the source discounted authentic Dominican handmade cigars. Drive through the city of La Romana, site of the largest sugar cane mill in the world, with many photo stops. Visit the famous artist village of Altos de Chavon. Discover the magnificent garden areas, its quaint shops, the impressive Roman replica amphi-theatre and the Taino Exhibit at the Regional Archeological Museum. During the tour your experienced guide will be explaining detailed information about the history of La Romana and Altos de Chavon.

Departure Time: 8:00am-8:30am for morning departures. 2:00am-2:30am for afternoon departures.

SPEED BOAT ADVENTUREDuration: half day

On this adventure Frigate Tours will pick you up at thereception of your hotel to transport you to Bayahibe, our scenic fisherman's wharf. The Frigate Tours staff will welcome you and board you on their remarkable ships.

Speed Boats start off a total adventure of nature, water and speed throughout The Natural Park of the East; a natural reservoir that extends for 450 square km., with 500 varieties of plants, 144 species of tropical birds, cave rich in prehistoric artwork, where turtles and iguanas are abundant and we even may be surprised by a manatee or a dolphin.

River Option with Snorkelling:
Just a few minutes away you'll visit the mangroves getting in direct contact with the vegetation and birds, just an unforgettable experience. After this journey you'll go back to the fisherman's wharf where you will board our snorkelling boat and we take you to a beautiful coral reef just in front of Bayahibe where you will enjoy an amazing snorkelling experience. Speed Boat for around 2 hours 15 minutes, Snorkelling for around 30.

Natural Pool Option:
We will show you one of the most beautiful and intriguing aspect of the island known by all as the Natural Pool (Palmilla), where you'll enjoy bathing in cool refreshing water for 30-40 minutes, seeing and touching the famous starfishes. Speed Boat for around 2 hours 10 minutes, Natural Pool for approx. 30 - 40 minutes.

Before taking you back to your hotel we serve you refreshment drinks and of course our famous Dominican rum. All this is taken care of by the great service of the Frigate Tours staff.

Departure Time: 8:30am and 10:00am. River Option with Snorkelling: Picking up from 8:00am, approximately 30 minutes picking up, excursion will start at 8:30am, finishing at 11:30am and approximately 30 minutes dropping off.
Natural Pool Option: Picking up from 9:30am, approximately 30 minutes picking up, excursion will start at 10:00 am, finishing at 1:00am and approximately 30 minutes dropping off.
