SEM/PPC Analytics Manager
Travel Impressions is looking to fill a PPC/SEM & Analytics Manager position for its American Express Vacations brand in our Farmingdale, NY office.
This person will handle the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Search campaigns. This position requires working closely with the Product and Marketing teams, including analytics to accomplish campaign goals, analyze results, draw insights and make actionable recommendations. Managing the CPA metrics, the manager will be responsible for developing, cultivating and scaling pay per click accounts as viable channels of lead generation. Keyword management, ad copy creation and optimization skills are imperative for a successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the AEV product, marketing objectives and goals
- Identify and develop effective and cost-efficient paid search programs in tandem with organic SEO/SEM strategies
- Effectively interact with search engines (Google, Yahoo/Bing) to understand their services, capabilities, and operational requirements
- Research and select keyword, ad copy and landing pages
- Set and update budget caps and monitor pacing based on pre-determined spend
- Create and manage key performance metrics to forecast
- Oversee keyword development and expansion via ROI goals
- Develop and manage an ongoing SEM test platform to optimize click-through rates, conversions and user behavior
- Manage day-to-day PPC, display and analytics operations
- Traffic campaigns using solutions such as Google Analytics
- Monitor competitive, industry and search engine changes and translate into actionable recommendations
- Utilize Google Analytics to identify trends and areas of opportunity
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices and understand how they can be applied to accounts
- Supervise, create and implement analytics tags
- Track and analyze account results in tandem with our product team and analytics group
- Create monthly results summary, quarterly trend reports with actionable insights and recommendations
- Forecast and plan for new business opportunities
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree, 3-5 years of search engine marketing experience required
- Google Ad Words Certification (Fundamentals), Analytics and Advanced Certification (a plus)
- PPC optimization techniques (ROI / CPA / CPL / Impression Share)
- Experience with 3rd party tracking (Double-click & Atlas)
- Experience with bid management tools (Marin)
- Experience with analytics tools, Google Analytics (a must), Web Trends, Omniture, Coremetrics (a plus)
- Direct experience in managing large scale, complex paid search campaigns
- Must be of a technical and analytical mindset
- Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
- Excellent written and communication skills/Excellent interpersonal skills and eagerness to work as member of a team
